Water/Wastewater Wage Instructor (Water/Wastewater)

Location: Applicants must reside in specified counties in South Texas, including Cameron, Hidalgo, Nueces, Starr, and Willacy; courses are facilitated in Brownsville and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Salary: $45.00 per hour

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service provides emergency response training, workforce development, and technical assistance.

What you will do

• Deliver training courses for water and wastewater utility personnel.
• Prepare classrooms, course topics, teaching aids, and instructional materials.
• Demonstrate technical practices and conduct classroom instruction.
• Complete required administrative paperwork.
• Maintain current technical competence and skills in water and wastewater utilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in water utility operations, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation.
• Residence in one of the specified South Texas counties is required due to course facilitation locations.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
• Texas Class B Water License.
• Texas Class B Wastewater License or Wastewater Collection II or III certification.
• One year of adult training experience plus qualifying instructional experience or approved instructor training; listed experience equivalencies may apply.
