Senior Buyer

Location: Querétaro City, Mexico. Full-time onsite role with 15–30% travel; a valid passport and visa are required for travel.

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement through the production cycle.
• Evaluate supplier reliability, develop supply sources, and resolve material shortages.
• Monitor costs, consolidate contracts, negotiate pricing, and support cost-effective purchasing models.
• Manage purchase orders and confirmations through MRP, follow up on overdue orders, and update ERP attributes such as lead time and minimum order quantity.
• Maintain inventory and collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Commodity, Operations, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and appropriate stock levels.
• Track and achieve procurement KPIs.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Spanish are required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate information accurately and clearly.
• Ability to remain stationary for approximately 90% of the time and regularly operate a computer and office equipment.

Nice to have

• CPIM and/or APICS certification.
