Senior Payables Analyst (Freight)

Location: Remote for candidates based in Bogota or Mexico City

What you will do

• Manage and scale freight invoice processing, accruals, reconciliation, and payables operations.
• Lead cross-functional process design and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls.
• Own month-end close activities and perform financial statement variance analysis.
• Monitor credits and funds owed, partnering with Treasury on weekly payment processing and cash optimization.
• Build reporting, metrics, and insights to resolve issues and improve financial outcomes.
• Partner with Transportation, Logistics, Treasury, and FP&A to resolve issues and maintain accurate freight cost recording.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related business function.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with analytics tools; SQL knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving, process-improvement, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Available work-from-home setup with dual monitors, a suitable computer, wired internet of at least 10 Mbps, a headset, and an HD webcam is required.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications and/or a graduate degree.
• Experience with SQL.
