Senior Software Engineer – Engineering Acceleration, Hyperscale Line of Business

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office at the Santa Clara office

Salary: $180,000–$270,000 USD annual base salary, with possible incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Build and productize shared tools for high-effort engineering workflows such as triage, rebase/payload, and release management.
• Use AI coding tools to prototype and iterate rapidly as requirements evolve.
• Design and implement reliable software with clean REST, gRPC, and CLI interfaces.
• Use engineering metrics and monitoring tools to identify workflow friction and improve developer velocity.
• Partner with Tech Leads and Managers on technical roadmaps for developer tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct deep code reviews, and improve incident response, change management, and build observability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of production software engineering experience in developer productivity, tooling, or platform engineering.
• Expertise in Python and C++ in production Linux environments.
• Experience building internal or developer-facing tools and turning prototypes into supported shared products.
• Experience with Docker and reproducible development environments.
• Hands-on experience designing gRPC, REST, and CLI interfaces.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Go or Java.
