Industrial Maintenance Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Minden, Louisiana, United States. The role requires work in an outdoor, high-hazard explosives manufacturing environment and eligibility to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses. ITAR compliance requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $24.00–$34.00 per hour base pay, depending on experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, and basic troubleshooting of rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, starters, VFDs, conduit, and field wiring.
• Support instrumentation and controls maintenance through calibration assistance, sensor checks, field wiring, and basic PLC fault identification.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities through the maintenance management system.
• Follow lockout/tagout, material-handling, PPE, and site-specific safety procedures in a high-hazard environment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, senior technicians, and controls resources to resolve maintenance issues and reduce downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Foundational mechanical skills with rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, VFDs, conduit, and field wiring.
• Exposure to instrumentation maintenance, calibration, sensors, transmitters, switches, PLCs, and control systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ability to work onsite in Minden, Louisiana, meet explosives-license eligibility requirements, pass legally required background investigations, maintain a drug-free workplace, and satisfy applicable ITAR authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or instrumentation.
