Lead Manager, IT Security Engineer

Location: Remote within the continental United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa or immigration sponsorship is not available. Some travel is required, along with availability outside standard Monday–Friday business hours and 24/7 availability for IAM and security incident escalation.

Salary: $69,500–$84,100 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, configure, test, troubleshoot, and document security solutions for IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, email security, content filtering, and security awareness.
• Design secure network, system, and application architectures across enterprise and hybrid cloud environments.
• Monitor and tune security tools, investigate alerts and incidents with the MSSP and IT teams, and serve as an escalation point for security issues.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, threat research, and threat-hunting activities.
• Develop security policies, standards, procedures, and awareness training.
• Provide security expertise and recommendations throughout IT projects and technology lifecycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technology field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of total experience, including 2 or more years designing, building, and supporting enterprise IT security solutions.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, network firewalls, email security gateways, content filtering, IAM, SSO, Windows servers, and virtualization.
• Knowledge of Microsoft cloud products, including Office 365, Intune, Azure, Azure VM, NSG, Azure Sentinel, ATP, and Azure Active Directory.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, research, project management, documentation, and prioritization skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa and immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, Cisco Firewalls, Defender Security, VMware, EDR, XDR, Cisco Umbrella DNS Security, SSO, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Current security certifications such as Security+, PenTest+, OSCP, CEH, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or CISA.
