TL;DR
Senior Application Support Engineer (Linux/Python): Supporting secure and reliable application infrastructure in a hybrid Porto-based environment with an accent on Linux administration, operational scripting, monitoring, deployment tooling, and containerized delivery. Focus on automating operational tasks, configuring SSL certificates and reverse proxies, managing batch workloads, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across complex infrastructure stacks.
Location: Hybrid, based in Porto two days per week. Candidates must be based in Portugal and have Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do
- Provide application support for enterprise technology projects and operational environments.
- Automate operational tasks and support engineering workflows using shell and Python scripting.
- Monitor systems and applications with Zabbix, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack.
- Configure and maintain SSL certificates, reverse proxies, and load-balancing solutions.
- Support job scheduling, batch processing, and workload automation with Control-M and VTOM.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized delivery using Jenkins, OpenShift, Docker, and related deployment tools.
Requirements
- Six years of experience as an Application Support Engineer.
- Strong experience with Linux and working knowledge of Windows Server.
- Proficiency in shell and Python scripting.
- Knowledge of Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, Control-M, VTOM, Git, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Bitbucket, Artifactory, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Fluent English at B2 level.
- Availability for hybrid work in Porto twice a week and the right to work in Portugal through Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
