IM and E Technician (Industrial Energy)

Location: Vicinity Baltimore, 1400 Ridgely St, Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Full-time onsite position with rotating shifts, mandatory overtime, and rotating on-call coverage on weekends, back shifts, and holidays.

Salary: $43.47 per hour plus a 10% bonus target.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and equipment across Baltimore plant sites.
• Inspect, test, clean, repair, and calibrate electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and computerized control systems.
• Install and program electronic instruments, programmable controllers, sensing elements, wiring, tubing, and fittings.
• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot power supply circuits, control circuitry, instruments, and metering systems.
• Maintain equipment controlling boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and other plant systems.
• Prepare work orders, technical diagrams, maintenance records, and preventive-maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• Technical or trade school degree in electronics, computer science, or equivalent industry training and experience.
• At least 2 years of progressive technician experience in a central plant, power generation, or process-plant environment.
• Ability to read logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings, process flow diagrams, control and instrumentation diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ability to work independently, perform basic computer operations, and use email.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, climb to heights of 100 feet, and tolerate heat in an industrial production plant.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and a driving record meeting company standards.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO procedures.
• Experience interpreting manufacturer's manuals and drawings.
• Familiarity with refrigeration and thermodynamics.
