Principal Data Analyst (Gaming)

hirify.global is a Canadian gaming studio developing original games, including the multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight, and providing external development services.

What you will do

• Define and drive the vision and strategy for telemetry systems used during game production.
• Design innovative, scalable analytical solutions for player behaviour analysis and strategic decision-making.
• Prototype advanced dashboards, reports, and data storytelling practices.
• Promote a data-informed culture through clear, well-documented analyses and impactful communication.
• Build trusted relationships with analysts, production partners, and other stakeholders.
• Solve ambiguous, high-stakes problems while balancing experimentation, analytical rigor, speed, accuracy, and quality.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in data analysis, including experience in the gaming industry with a GaaS game.
• Deep expertise in advanced analytics and statistical modeling or equivalent approaches.
• Advanced SQL and NoSQL skills for processing large datasets.
• Programming experience with Python and/or R for analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Data visualization experience with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and other visualization tools.
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt; AWS experience is an asset. Strong autonomy, organization, and communication skills are required.
