Terminology and Translation Analyst I (Medical Devices)

hirify.global develops medical devices and maintains global language management processes for its worldwide content.

What you will do

• Identify new technical terms and establish controlled vocabulary with content creators, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
• Manage the term proposal process, including reviewing, approving, and rejecting proposed terms.
• Mine and upload terminology to the term database and compile monolingual and multilingual glossaries.
• Export terminology into glossaries and bilingual dictionaries for use across the company.
• Document terminology processes, provide stakeholder training, and collect and report terminology metrics.
• Assist with proofreading, vendor relationship management, and special projects; occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States; the role is remote.
• BA or BS degree in Terminology, Translation, or Languages.
• Excellent knowledge of English required.
• Knowledge of international standards in terminology and translation management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
• One year of terminology or translation experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer-assisted translation and terminology tools.
• Experience working with terms, glossaries, and term databases.
• Professional fluency in an additional language.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or experience in the medical device industry.
• Translation or localization industry experience.
