Endowed Professor (Wealth Management, Fintech)

Location: Prairie View, Texas, United States; full-time, on-campus faculty position.

Prairie View A&M University’s College of Business hosts the Wealth Management Institute, focused on interdisciplinary education, research, financial access, and ethical financial technology.

What you will do

• Lead the Wealth Management Institute’s strategic vision and long-term growth plan.
• Advance interdisciplinary education, research, innovation, and industry partnerships across business, engineering, and related units.
• Secure external grants, philanthropic support, and corporate partnerships with financial institutions, fintech firms, community organizations, policymakers, and HBCUs.
• Manage and mentor faculty affiliates, postdoctoral researchers, staff, financial coaches, and graduate assistants.
• Design and evaluate financial well-being programs for HBCU students, focused on reducing student loan debt and advancing student-centered wealth creation.

Requirements

• Terminal degree, such as a Ph.D. or equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field.
• Record of scholarly achievement in financial well-being, economic mobility, financial access, or a related area.
• Experience leading or contributing to large-scale research initiatives or demonstration projects.
• Evidence of successful external grant procurement and management.
• Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Employment is subject to a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials.

Nice to have

• Three to five years of senior leadership experience.
• Expertise in institutional and business modeling.
• Experience working with or within HBCUs.
• Established network in financial services, fintech, or community development finance.
• Experience translating research into policy or practice and familiarity with student success frameworks and higher education financial aid systems.
