What you will do

• Direct the department’s on-campus counseling and training clinic.
• Teach practicum and internship courses.
• Advise counseling students and contribute to program development.
• Lead community engagement and outreach initiatives.
• Participate in the department’s counseling specialty programs and clinical training activities.

Requirements

• Doctorate in counselor education.
• Licensure or licensure eligibility as a Texas professional counselor (LPC) or marriage and family therapist (LMFT) at the time of employment.
• At least three years of post-graduate professional counseling experience.
• Clinical supervision experience.
• Professional identity, experience, and training in a counseling specialty offered by the department.
• Experience with community engagement and outreach initiatives.

Nice to have

• Doctorate from a CACREP-accredited program.
• Conversational ability in English and Spanish.
• Experience attracting external funding and teaching graduate courses.
• LPC-supervisor credential and membership in professional counseling organizations.
• Experience working with varied student populations.
