Scientist Manager, Cell & Systems Biology

Location: Singapore TC-Biopolis; onsite role at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center

What you will do

• Define strategies and roadmaps for 2D and 3D cellular, tissue, and organ-system models addressing priority biological questions.
• Design, optimize, validate, and deploy molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ-level assays.
• Investigate biological pathways, cellular interactions, system perturbations, recovery processes, and intervention responses.
• Translate experimental evidence into mechanistic conclusions, intervention opportunities, and program recommendations.
• Lead experimental biology activities by guiding scientists and researchers in experimental design, method development, troubleshooting, and interpretation.
• Build external partnerships and strengthen screening-platform capabilities through mentoring and adoption of emerging methods.

Requirements

• PhD in Skin Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline, plus 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in human skin biology and cosmetic skin benefit mechanisms.
• Proven experience developing and deploying 2D and/or 3D skin models.
• Experience with high-throughput screening, high-content imaging, molecular assays, and quantitative biological endpoints.
• Strong scientific problem-solving, experimental design, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary and highly collaborative teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with organotypic cultures, skin explants, skin-on-chip systems, or 3D bioprinting.
• Experience integrating biological, imaging, molecular, or omics datasets.
• Familiarity with laboratory data management systems and structured scientific data practices.
• Experience in cosmetics, consumer health, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments.
• Track record of innovation, patent generation, and external scientific collaboration.
