What you will do

• Design and perform moderate- to advanced-complexity experiments using physical and chemical techniques.
• Develop and characterize reagent formulations and lyophilization processes for sequencing and microarray consumables.
• Investigate reagent function, stability, performance, and robustness, particularly for enzyme-based reagents.
• Analyze experimental datasets, apply statistical methods, and recommend follow-up experiments or alternative strategies.
• Document technical observations, prepare reports, and communicate conclusions to local leadership.
• Support laboratory operations, equipment ownership, and multidisciplinary R&D collaboration.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or B.Eng. in biochemistry, biochemical or chemical engineering, biomaterials, or an equivalent field.
• Strong laboratory skills and the ability to independently execute experiments with appropriate controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot procedural issues and interpret conclusions from complex experimental datasets.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work onsite in Singapore.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in biochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, or equivalent industries.
• Experience with pilot-scale or large-scale lyophilization or cell-culture fermentation processes.
• Knowledge of protein biochemistry, protein engineering, and protein structure.
• Experience with next-generation sequencing.
