Accounts Payable Specialist (AI)

Location: United Kingdom - Remote

Salary: £38,000–£51,750 per year, plus equity, discretionary bonus, pension contributions, and benefits.

What you will do

• Process supplier invoices, match them with purchase orders and approvals, and maintain accurate vendor records.
• Own payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Respond to supplier queries and resolve payment issues.
• Support month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, audits, and documentation requests.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and VAT requirements across multiple jurisdictions, while improving AP processes and reducing manual work.

Requirements

• Essential experience in accounts payable or a broader accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Working knowledge of accounting software and accounts payable or invoicing systems.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships and resolve queries professionally.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls.
• Organised approach to deadlines, month-end close, and payment run cycles.
