Accounts Payable Specialist (AI Finance)

Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid with attendance at the Cork office 2 days per week

Salary: €34,000–€40,000 per year

What you will do

• Process supplier invoices using AI automation software and complete purchase order matching and approval workflows.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, payment exceptions, duplicate invoices, and vendor reconciliation issues.
• Prepare payment proposals and execute weekly payment runs through approved payment channels.
• Manage vendor records, support onboarding, verify bank details, and collect required documentation.
• Review employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions through an AI-enabled expense management system.
• Support audits and month-end close activities, including accounts payable reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including experience in a multinational company and managing multiple currencies.
• Familiarity with procure-to-pay workflows, ERP systems, and reporting tools, particularly NetSuite and BlackLine.
• Experience using AI-enabled finance systems and knowledge of VAT and relevant indirect tax requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Accounting qualification or progress toward ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
