Customer Specialist (HVAC)

Location: Long Island City, New York; onsite at least four days per week, with the option to choose the work location on Fridays. Travel or work across multiple stores may be required.

Salary: $50,800.00–$102,690.00 annual base salary or hourly base pay range; exception hourly compensation.

What you will do

• Engage customers by phone and email, identify needs, answer questions, resolve issues, and provide timely solutions.
• Process quotes, orders, invoices, and fulfillment activities for Account Managers and store teams.
• Support sales growth by identifying related products, promotions, add-on opportunities, and new sales leads.
• Provide technical product support and maintain knowledge of HVAC products, programs, and portfolio offerings.
• Coordinate with inside and outside sales teams, support store productivity, and help organize customer and vendor events.
• Travel between stores, visit external customers when needed, and provide counter, store operations, or inventory support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of inside sales, retail, or related experience.
• Customer service, sales, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work onsite at least four days per week and travel or work from multiple stores as directed.
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required; safety-sensitive responsibilities may involve additional drug screening.

Nice to have

• HVAC sales or related HVAC experience.
• Mechanical aptitude or a mechanical background.
