System Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Singapore, Singapore; onsite role with international travel of up to 20%

What you will do

• Lead system and subsystem integration, testing, and characterization activities.
• Define and maintain specifications, system architecture, test plans, and validation procedures.
• Coordinate project activities with marketing, engineering, manufacturing, NPI, and field service stakeholders.
• Support manufacturing and field service teams in resolving optics- and system-related technical escalations.
• Create documentation and diagnostic procedures to support transfer into manufacturing.
• Deliver technical training and provide management updates on progress, risks, and changes.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Optics, or a related field, preferably with more than three years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience developing or supporting complex optical-mechanical systems or assemblies.
• Background in optoelectronics, sensor technology, microscopy, optics, or system design and support.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues independently within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver results within defined timelines.
• Professional-level English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
