Principal Engineer, Product Engineering (Semiconductor): Setting up and transferring semiconductor product test programs, hardware, and technologies to Asian locations for mass production with an accent on device testing, yield improvement, and product quality. Focus on failure analysis, hardware and software debugging, cost reduction, test efficiency, and continuous improvement across final, system-level, wafer, and bump-sort testing.

What you will do
- Set up and transfer new product and technology test programs to Asian locations for mass production.
- Support and resolve device testing and test-program issues through hardware and software debugging.
- Maintain and improve product test yield and device quality across final test, system-level test, wafer sort, and bump sort.
- Perform failure analysis and work with engineering and development groups to resolve issues.
- Drive cost reduction through yield improvement, test insertion elimination, test-time reduction, multiple-site enhancement, and wafer-sort implementation.
- Improve product quality, test efficiency, production throughput, and test hardware, including customer return verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Understanding of product test methodology and implementation.
- Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, failure-debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Short-notice travel is required.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with JMP statistical analysis tools.
- Experience with Perl and Python scripting.
