About the Role

You will design, implement, maintain, and automate critical infrastructure services, including load balancers, DNS, and proxies. You will improve availability and reliability, reduce operational toil through automation, collaborate on scalable solutions, and contribute to infrastructure architecture and platform improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience managing DNS in complex environments
• Linux troubleshooting proficiency
• Understanding of distributed systems
• Experience delivering complex projects
• Communication skills
• Mentoring experience
• Linux system management
• Observability, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Networking knowledge including TCP/IP and TLS
• Experience with PowerDNS or Bind
• TLS certificate lifecycle management
• CDN management experience
• Experience with Ansible and Puppet
• Bash or Python scripting
• System design experience
• Experience building and maintaining large distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Maintain critical on-premises infrastructure powered by open source
• Optimize load-balancing infrastructure for availability, reliability, and responsiveness
• Automate manual tasks into efficient one-click operations
• Translate product requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions
• Collaborate with SRE and infrastructure teams
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence infrastructure decisions
• Maintain DNS and other critical services
• Drive platform innovation and improvement
