Systems Engineer (Microsoft Cloud)

Location: Dordrecht and Alblasserdam, Netherlands, with occasional travel to Herentals, Belgium

What you will do

• Manage laptops, phones, screens, peripherals, software deployment, updates, and workplace support.
• Handle onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, licences, access rights, hardware, and automation.
• Administer cloud identity, mail, collaboration tools, groups, mailboxes, MFA, access policies, and licences.
• Maintain WiFi, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and connections between hirify.global sites; coordinate larger network work with suppliers.
• Manage suppliers, service contracts, renewals, SLAs, hardware orders, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Maintain endpoint protection, backups, access policies, asset records, documentation, and improvement projects while supporting ISO 27001 and NIS2 activities.

Requirements

• MBO-4 or HBO qualification in ICT and 2–5 years of experience in system administration, workplace management, or IT support.
• Practical experience with a Microsoft cloud workplace, identity, mail, collaboration tools, and modern endpoint management.
• Solid networking fundamentals, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, WiFi, firewall rules, and network troubleshooting.
• Supplier-management skills, a service-minded approach, and the ability to stay calm and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Fluent Dutch and English are required.
• Willingness to join the on-call roster and possession of a driving licence.

Nice to have

• MD-102, MS-102, AZ-104, CCNA, or an equivalent firewall-vendor certification.
• Scripting and an interest in automating repetitive tasks.
