Senior System Administrator (Microsoft Configuration Manager)

Location: Full on-site support in Noordwijk, Netherlands, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:30. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain on-premises Microsoft Configuration Manager infrastructure, including site servers, SQL databases, distribution points, management points, boundaries, collections, and client health.
• Monitor system availability and performance, analyse logs and alerts, investigate incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support Windows system deployments, upgrades, maintenance, hardware changes, server builds, application packaging, and task-sequence management.
• Manage server patching, software update groups, maintenance windows, compliance reporting, remediation, and controlled rollback.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, operating procedures, audit evidence, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Collaborate with IT, networking, cybersecurity, facilities, and external suppliers on major incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or equivalent IT qualifications with at least ten years of progressively responsible enterprise Windows infrastructure experience.
• Advanced hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager/ConfigMgr/SCCM, including client management, software distribution, patching, application packaging, operating system deployment, task sequences, and compliance reporting.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills covering Active Directory Domain Services, domain controllers, Group Policy, trusts, replication, delegation, authentication, permissions, DNS integration, SSO, Kerberos, PowerShell, security hardening, and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking and storage fundamentals, infrastructure monitoring, log analysis, capacity and performance management, backup and recovery, and incident diagnostics.
• Experience with controlled enterprise environments and change, configuration, incident, problem, security-management, and ITSM processes. ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English at CEFR B2 or above; willingness to complete additional certifications through the ATG training programme.

Nice to have

• ITIL Foundation certification, version 3 or 4.
• Microsoft or other infrastructure certifications.
• Interest in space-related engineering activities and ESA programmes.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
