What you will do

• Build production-grade software products using Python, testing, packaging, CI/CD, asynchronous programming, REST, and Docker.
• Develop LLM applications using prompt design, function calling, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector stores, and Anthropic and OpenAI APIs.
• Build agentic systems that plan, write code, validate their own output, and improve over time.
• Implement evaluation-driven development and create evaluation and verification infrastructure.
• Choose and apply orchestration approaches using LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom harnesses.
• Work with cloud data platforms and SQL to support evaluation systems and domain rules.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience as an AI Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong production software engineering experience with Python, testing, packaging, CI/CD, asynchronous programming, REST, and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with LLM application engineering, including prompt design, function calling, structured outputs, RAG, and vector stores.
• Experience building end-to-end agentic systems and evaluation infrastructure.
• Working fluency with at least one cloud data platform and SQL.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Porto, Portugal.
