Project Quality Manager (Cables)

Location: Based at the HQ in Milan, Italy, with remote work flexibility; travel of about 30% is expected.

Salary: Gross annual salary of at least €45,000, plus an individual or collective variable incentive based on performance objectives.

What you will do

• Plan and implement quality activities across transmission projects, including design, cable and accessory manufacturing, land and marine installation, and testing.
• Coordinate Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans, procedures, Inspection and Test Plans, and project quality reporting.
• Manage quality relationships with clients and coordinate quality activities with project teams, plants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Assess suppliers and subcontractors, review their quality plans, and perform audits of project processes, plants, and external partners.
• Manage client audits, non-conformities, complaints, root cause analysis, contract reviews, and project close-out activities.
• Deliver quality training and promote lessons learned, best practices, and continuous project improvements.

Requirements

• Solid quality management experience, preferably in an EPCI environment involving manufacturing or production, land site activities, and/or vessel operations.
• Engineering master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the ISO 9000 series and experience with quality auditing; lead auditor qualification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
• Strong leadership, influencing, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficient written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IEC standards, PMI, risk management techniques, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Lead auditor qualification, certification, or experience.
• Additional languages.
