Technical Support Engineer, Field (3D Printing): Installing, commissioning, training customers on, and repairing 3D printing systems across the DACH region with an accent on electromechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-site customer enablement. Focus on resolving urgent equipment failures, achieving single-visit repairs, and managing complex travel and service documentation.

Location: Munich, Germany; candidates should be based in Frankfurt, Berlin, or Munich and travel 80% or more across the DACH region and beyond.

What you will do

  • Install, commission, calibrate, and maintain 3D printing systems at customer sites.
  • Deliver structured on-site training on equipment operation, software, and basic maintenance.
  • Conduct live product demonstrations for customer teams.
  • Respond to urgent equipment failures and perform electromechanical repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance visits within the required 90-day service window.
  • Manage travel logistics, expenses, and detailed service records in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Strong electromechanical and hardware background.
  • Fluent German and English at C1 level.
  • Based in Frankfurt, Berlin, or Munich.
  • Willingness to travel 80% or more.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and train customers.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • French fluency.
  • Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies.
