Technician, Accounts Payable

Location: Onsite at the head office in Laval, Quebec, Canada

American Iron & Metal operates used-vehicle recycling yards across Eastern Canada and the United States through Kenny U-Pull.

What you will do

• Review and post vendor invoices in the company’s accounting systems.
• Validate invoice charges against purchase orders, goods and service receipts, and authorized approvals.
• Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies and pending transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up with vendors and internal departments.
• Provide service to internal and external clients and support the finance team with accounting tasks.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a similar accounts payable function.
• Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or a related field.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions, work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Bilingual French and English communication skills required.
• Strong organizational, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with D365, Maximo, and Odoo.
