Project Risk Manager (EMEA)

Location: Europe; remote role

Salary: €152,000–€204,000 per year, plus equity and discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead the regional risk management programme across the EMEA project portfolio and establish consistent governance, standards, methodologies, and escalation requirements.
• Integrate risk management across engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, commercial, commissioning, and operations readiness.
• Own project risk registers and lead the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, escalation, and closure of risks and opportunities.
• Evaluate EPC, procurement, supply chain, commercial, contractual, construction, commissioning, grid connection, and capacity-delivery risks.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulation, schedule risk analysis, scenario analysis, and contingency recommendations.
• Produce project and portfolio dashboards, executive reporting, risk reviews, and decision support for investment decisions, stage gates, contract awards, and governance forums.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Significant experience in risk management, project controls, or project delivery within complex EPC, construction, infrastructure, energy, mission-critical, or major capital programmes.
• Demonstrated experience leading project and portfolio risk management, including mitigation, monitoring, escalation, and assurance.
• Advanced experience with Monte Carlo simulation, cost and schedule risk analysis, probabilistic techniques, scenario analysis, and risk-based contingency development.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracting, procurement, supply chain, change management, claims, commercial risk, and project controls.
• Ability to influence senior project and functional leaders, identify systemic and correlated risks, and translate complex risk information into clear executive recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering hyperscale, AI, mission-critical, or large-scale data centre programmes, including power, cooling, grid connection, commissioning, and MW capacity delivery.
• Experience with enterprise or project risk platforms integrated with scheduling, cost management, and reporting systems.
• Professional certification such as PMI-RMP, PMP, APM, AACE International, IRM, or an equivalent credential.
• Knowledge of ISO 31000, PMBOK, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001.
• Experience with @Risk, Riskonnect, Safran, or comparable risk management software.
