Software Engineer Intern (Tech and Product) (Backend)

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade backend microservices and distributed systems.
• Build core backend infrastructure and high-throughput services supporting products including Ads, Payments, technology infrastructure, emerging products, and e-commerce.
• Develop specialized compliance pipelines that meet strict U.S. data security and privacy standards.
• Optimize system performance, latency, memory utilization, and resource efficiency.
• Build monitoring, logging, and fault-tolerant mechanisms to maintain high system availability.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Available for a 12-week internship during summer 2027.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of Go, C++, Java, or Python.
• Clearly state internship start and end dates on the resume.
• A master's degree in a related technical discipline is preferred.
