Data Analyst (SQL & dbt)

Location: Fully remote; work from wherever you like, with availability during Central European hours

hirify.global acquires and develops a portfolio of B2B SaaS companies, supporting 25 brands through a central data and BI function.

What you will do

• Own data requests end to end, from clarifying business questions and assessing source data to building models, validating results, and explaining limitations.
• Build and maintain production dbt models for billing, subscriptions, customers, recurring revenue, retention, and other SaaS metrics.
• Maintain Metabase dashboards, reusable questions, recurring reporting, and ad hoc analyses.
• Monitor data quality and freshness, reconcile figures, and trace discrepancies through ingestion and transformation to source systems.
• Maintain Airbyte source integrations, including custom connectors, and onboard data from newly acquired companies.
• Support acquisition due diligence by processing unfamiliar and incomplete billing, customer, and revenue datasets under time pressure.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data roles where SQL was the primary tool.
• Production experience building and maintaining code-based data models with dbt or a similar workflow, including version control and code review.
• Ability to review code, including Python, trace data from source systems through ingestion and transformation, and distinguish business changes from data problems.
• Strong analytical judgment, independent ownership, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Daily practical use of AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar, with independent validation of generated output.
• Fluent written and spoken English and availability during Central European hours are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS subscription metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn, expansion, NDR, GDR, cohorts, and customer lifetime value.
• Experience with Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly, Paddle, PostgreSQL, or Airbyte.
• Understanding of APIs and data connectors, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, and incremental synchronization.
• Experience supporting multiple products or business units, or performing acquisition due diligence with unfamiliar datasets.
