Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Location: Vienna, VA, United States; hybrid with 3+ days per week at the client site

What you will do

• Examine petitions, case files, and supporting documents from schools seeking certification to educate non-immigrant students.
• Evaluate school submissions against 8 CFR 214.3 and other relevant federal regulations.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, and other areas of non-conformance, then prepare recommendations for approval, denial, additional information, or corrective action.
• Communicate with school officials to obtain clarification and supporting documentation.
• Document and verbally explain findings, recommendations, and case notes to support consistent adjudication decisions.
• Organize, upload, tag, retain, retrieve, and dispose of records according to internal policies, agency requirements, and NARA standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience analyzing case documentation, identifying key issues, and supporting accurate and consistent adjudication decisions.
• Ability to apply complex regulatory frameworks to multifaceted cases while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
• Experience managing multiple cases, electronic records, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate or advanced level.
• Strong ownership, prioritization, stakeholder communication, leadership, and professional integrity when handling sensitive information.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust government clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in compliance, regulatory analysis, case management, or related work.
• Knowledge of federal school regulations, policies, SEVIS, or adjudication processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
