Counselor

Location: On-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. Early morning schedule Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.; rotating Saturdays may be required.

Behavioral Health Group operates a network of accredited treatment centers providing opioid addiction treatment and behavioral health services.

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling and group sessions.
• Complete patient intakes, readmissions, assessments, treatment plans, records, referrals, and follow-up counseling.
• Orient patients to treatment procedures and support their transition to a drug-free life.
• Provide crisis intervention, supportive services, and inter-agency documentation.
• Coordinate care with community providers and support caseload management.
• Participate in OBOT services, staff training, conferences, and regulatory activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Human Services field.
• Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment planning, human behavior, and human social services.
• Ability to make effective decisions involving confidential and sensitive issues.
• Ability to respond quickly and work appropriately with patients and team members in stressful situations.
• Compliance with federal and state requirements for certification, licensure, and degree qualifications.
• Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
