Forward Deployed Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Singapore; on-site. Travel to client sites may be required for up to 25% of working time.

What you will do

• Embed with client engineering teams to design, build, test, and deliver production-ready implementations of Vault products.
• Own the technical success of client engagements from requirements and architecture through production readiness.
• Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans and act as the primary technical point of contact.
• Write production-quality Python or Go code for integrations, tooling, data pipelines, product extensions, and client ecosystem connectivity.
• Debug distributed systems involving databases, messaging systems, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
• Support presales, advise clients on Vault implementation best practices, and channel client feedback into product and engineering improvements.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python or Go and the ability to iterate quickly through ambiguous requirements.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL or equivalent databases, and Kafka or equivalent messaging systems.
• Practical production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience working directly with external clients or partners in technical delivery and explaining complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience delivering technical projects end-to-end, including edge cases, rollback plans, and operability concerns.
• Familiarity with retail banking, payments, ledgers, or regulatory environments.

• Additional programming languages.
• AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent certification.
