Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Connectivity)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $192,010–$274,300 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Partner with enterprise customers to design, build, and implement hirify.global-based solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Lead hands-on implementations of API gateways, AI gateways, service mesh, developer portals, and related connectivity technologies.
• Build automation frameworks, migration tooling, custom integrations, plugins, CI/CD integrations, and reusable accelerators.
• Drive migrations from legacy API management platforms to hirify.global and support platform modernization initiatives.
• Develop production-grade code, Kubernetes automation, infrastructure tooling, and reference architectures.
• Collaborate with customer teams and hirify.global Product and Engineering to solve technical challenges and influence product direction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, professional services, site reliability engineering, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with API gateways, API management, integrations, or distributed systems platforms.
• Strong Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps expertise.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and with Infrastructure-as-Code or automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or GitOps frameworks.
• Programming experience in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently and communicate with technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in API Management, Open Source, Middleware, SaaS, or Infrastructure software companies.
• Experience supporting AI connectivity, governance, or cloud-native transformation initiatives.
