Assistant Technical Designer (Apparel)

What you will do

• Support technical design throughout the product development and production lifecycle, from prototypes through final production approval.
• Create and maintain technical packages, tech packs, measurements, construction details, specifications, sketches, and fit comments.
• Review and measure samples, identify fit and construction inconsistencies, and track revisions across sample iterations.
• Prepare and attend fit sessions, document changes, and communicate actionable fit comments to vendors and factories.
• Maintain technical information, sample records, approvals, and fit history in PLM and other internal systems.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, Merchandising, Technical Design, and domestic and international vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Apparel Production, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of technical design, product development, or apparel production experience; relevant internships are considered.
• Foundational knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fit, measurements, grading, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with technical packages and product development processes; PLM experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
