Assistant Controller (AI)

Location: Nunspeet, Gelderland, Netherlands; partly hybrid with regular collaboration from the Nunspeet office

Salary: €50,000–€60,000 gross annual salary, depending on knowledge and experience

International software organisation with approximately 500 colleagues and operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closings.
• Review and process financial data, prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Investigate discrepancies and perform intercompany reconciliations across international entities.
• Support external audits, audit documentation, CBS filings and statistical reporting.
• Assist with weekly payment runs, banking activities, cash flow reporting and liquidity management.
• Improve and automate financial processes and internal controls using technology and AI where appropriate.

Requirements

• MBO+/HBO-level degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a comparable field.
• Practical Finance or Accountancy experience through an internship, graduation project or first job.
• Accurate, structured and analytical approach with the ability to investigate and solve problems.
• Confidence using Excel and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Interest in AI and automation.
• Good verbal and written communication in Dutch and English required.
