Accounts Payable & GL Accounting Specialist

Location: Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, from vendor bill processing through payments and reconciliations.
• Process incoming bills, match them to purchase orders, and maintain accurate vendor master data.
• Prepare and execute weekly and ad-hoc wire transfer payments while managing vendor communication.
• Book EUR, USD, and GBP bank statements and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Book monthly GL cost accruals and prepayments, and reconcile Accounts Payable and related balance sheet accounts.
• Provide reports and documentation for month-end and year-end closing.

Requirements

• Relevant accounting degree, such as MBO Financiële beroepen / Bedrijfsadministratie level 4 or HBO Accountancy.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable role with GL responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite.
• Structured, reliable, and able to take ownership of financial accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written English; Dutch is preferred.
