Sr Specialist, Accounting, Belgium & Netherland

Location: Botlek-Rotterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work between office and remote.

Salary: EUR 87,840–102,480 annually (EUR 6,292.26–7,340.97 monthly), excluding holiday allowance and 13th month payment; discretionary bonus scheme.

What you will do

• Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly IFRS reporting and local statutory reports, including financial statements and statistical reporting.
• Handle tax accounting and compliance, including VAT, for one Dutch and one Belgian entity.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external tax audits.
• Perform payroll, DBO, and fixed asset accounting and act as the local Finance representative.
• Participate in finance projects and handle ad hoc accounting responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, or tax accounting, with at least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Dutch and Belgian tax legislation.
• Very good Excel skills; experience with SAP and HFM is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines accurately.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch are required.
