Senior Data Strategist / Analyst (Microsoft Fabric): Developing organisation-wide data strategy, decision-ready analytics, dashboards, and end-to-end data solutions with an accent on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data modelling, governance, and data quality. Focus on optimising Fabric costs and capacity, integrating Microsoft data platforms, applying predictive analytics and machine learning, and translating complex insights into actionable decisions.
Location: Predominantly remote within the UK, with occasional travel to the organisation's Central London office and other UK locations
Salary: Up to £53,500 per annum

What you will do
- Contribute to organisation-wide data strategies, standards, definitions, metrics, and best practices.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to produce actionable insights for strategic and operational decisions.
- Design and develop data models, semantic layers, dashboards, and reports using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Manage the full data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, integration, analytics, data quality, governance, security, and lineage.
- Optimise Microsoft Fabric costs and capacity while integrating Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Azure, Dataverse, and third-party systems.
- Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, train stakeholders, and translate complex analytical outputs into clear recommendations.
Requirements
- Strong experience in a Data Analyst, Data Strategist, Senior Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and visualisation.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365 from a data perspective.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, semantic layers, data quality, lineage, data integration, and end-to-end data solutions.
- Experience managing and optimising Microsoft Fabric costs, with strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience with statistical analysis, predictive analytics, or machine learning, plus the ability to translate business requirements into meaningful data solutions.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, or Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
- Experience with R, RStudio, Microsoft Customer Voice, or Power Platform data governance and security.
- Experience in the charity sector and knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Experience designing and delivering workshops and training.
