Electrical BIM Modeler (High-Voltage Substations)

Location: The Netherlands; open to candidates currently based in Spain. Hybrid working is possible, with occasional visits to substations, project locations or clients depending on the project.

Salary: €3,500–€4,500 gross per month, depending on experience.

Work in an international, multidisciplinary engineering environment delivering projects for Dutch energy infrastructure, including new substations and the extension and modernisation of existing installations.

What you will do

• Create and maintain 3D BIM models for high-voltage substations.
• Model transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars, cable routes and supporting structures in Autodesk Revit.
• Produce layouts, sections, details and technical drawings from 3D models.
• Coordinate electrical models with civil, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Identify clashes and design inconsistencies, process changes and check models for quality, completeness and constructability.
• Support Primary and Secondary Engineers and contribute to BIM standards, libraries and modelling workflows.

Requirements

• Relevant electrical, industrial or technical engineering qualification, or equivalent vocational background.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit in an engineering environment and experience as a BIM Modeler, Revit Modeler, CAD Designer or Electrical Designer.
• Ability to understand electrical layouts and technical drawings.
• Structured and accurate working methods with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Good working English; Dutch is not required at the start.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Solibri, Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with electrical substations.
• Interest in high-voltage systems, electrical grids, industrial electrical systems or energy infrastructure.
