Staff AI/ML Engineer (Enterprise AI Agents)

Location: San Mateo, CA; hybrid with 2–3 days onsite

Salary: $275,000–$350,000 base plus equity

What you will do

• Own major parts of the architecture for enterprise AI agents.
• Build agentic AI and reasoning systems that understand complex company data.
• Develop advanced retrieval and RAG systems for selecting relevant context.
• Work with knowledge graphs and enterprise data.
• Build code-generation capabilities for production data workflows.
• Design evaluation, benchmarking, reliability, and automatic error-recovery systems.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping production AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on experience with agents, retrieval, RAG, knowledge systems, or code generation.
• Experience moving beyond LLM experimentation into reliable production systems.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in San Mateo, CA, 2–3 days onsite.
