TI CP Supplier Quality & Development Engineer (Machining)

Location: China — conditions list Shanghai, while the role details specify Beijing. The position requires approximately 30% travel.

What you will do

• Assess supplier capabilities and risks during the onboarding and qualification of new suppliers.
• Lead product and process qualification for suppliers of machined parts and heavy-machined components, including large forgings and castings.
• Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators and implement quality assurance measures throughout the supplier lifecycle.
• Initiate supplier quality improvement actions, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive measures.
• Apply risk management methods to prevent quality issues and strengthen supply chain resilience.
• Support procurement, localization, sourcing strategy, and Local 4 Global initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience as a design, quality, or manufacturing engineer.
• Practical manufacturing experience with machining processes for large forgings and castings over 1 metric ton.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and quality and risk management methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Self-driven approach, analytical thinking, global work experience, and willingness to travel approximately 30%.
