Application Engineer

Location: Tianjin, China; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Create new engineering designs and resolve manufacturing or building sequence issues.
• Ensure design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
• Support the adoption of automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing technologies.
• Improve engineering procedures and operations to increase reliability, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and quality.
• Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, manufacturing, customers, and the dealer network on design solutions.
• Capture technical information and troubleshoot hardware, software, and communications problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background preferred; Business-related education may also be relevant.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Ability to document engineering information and design processes in an organized, auditable manner.
• Ability to communicate technical information, prepare reports, and collaborate across functions.
• Ability to work onsite in Tianjin five days per week.
