Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Minhang, Shanghai, China; onsite

What you will do

• Audit and evaluate new suppliers, select qualified suppliers, and develop annual supplier audit plans.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct periodic evaluations, and provide quality coaching to key suppliers.
• Manage incoming material quality issues, issue SCARs, and verify corrective action implementation and effectiveness.
• Track supplier quality costs, prepare supplier quality reports, and maintain supplier management documentation.
• Manage Supplier Quality Agreements, supplier sample approvals, and PPAP documentation reviews.
• Develop incoming inspection work instructions and manage IQC capability development, site safety, and 5S compliance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with supplier management and supplier audit processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including electroplating, machining, and metal powder mixing and forming.
• Strong understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 9000 quality management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or Science; Chemistry or Polymer is preferred.
• Good command of English and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, communicate across functions, work under pressure, and travel on short notice.
