Engineering Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead one or two engineering teams with a mission in frontend, middleware, backend, data, or platform engineering.
• Set technical direction and standards while contributing to architecture decisions with enterprise architects and engineering peers.
• Coach and develop engineers, including growing strong engineers into senior and staff roles.
• Own roadmap delivery, cycle time, quality, operational stability, and team-level outcomes.
• Lead AI-native software delivery by operating agents, building reusable subagents and evaluations, and contributing patterns to shared libraries.
• Maintain sustainable review practices, risk-based human approval, security, and clear accountability for agent-generated work.

Requirements

• Experience as an engineering manager growing engineers and owning team delivery.
• Strong technical foundation in frontend, middleware, backend, data, or platform engineering.
• Current personal experience with AI-native software delivery using Claude Code or an equivalent tool.
• Strong talent development skills and the ability to make difficult talent decisions clearly and thoughtfully.
• Comfort working with ambiguity, legacy codebases, and cross-functional technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a team through a significant technical or operating-model change.
• Experience building and sharing subagents, evaluations, or CLAUDE.md conventions.
• Deep expertise in a relevant product domain.
