Product Manager Mission Payload Land

Location: On-site in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany, with one flexible remote workday per week

hirify.global develops and produces electric vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial systems with software, edge computing, and real-time AI-powered data processing for defence, security, and public-sector customers.

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of mission payload integration across the unmanned ground vehicle portfolio.
• Screen the market and establish partnerships with payload vendors in ISR, electronic warfare, communications, combat engineering, logistics, and related domains.
• Drive prototyping and experimental integration of partner payloads across mechanical, electrical/electronic, and software interfaces.
• Prioritize payload capabilities, assess mission utility, and lead formal build-or-buy decisions.
• Bridge external payload suppliers, customer stakeholders, and internal engineering teams.
• Convert customer, user, and field insights into product priorities and shipped capabilities.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in technical product or project management, or systems engineering.
• Experience in defence electronics, C4ISR, or sensor subsystem OEM environments is preferred.
• Strong commercial judgment combined with a solid technical foundation.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent English is required for collaboration with international customers and a global team.
