Technical Product Owner (Energy Trading Valuation Platform)

What you will do

• Define the vision, roadmap, priorities, and technical direction for a strategic energy trading valuation platform.
• Translate trading, risk, and quantitative requirements into scalable and reusable platform capabilities.
• Own architecture, solution design, APIs, quantitative libraries, valuation services, and Dagster-based workflow orchestration.
• Balance feature delivery, technical debt, operational stability, security, observability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead delivery across traders, quantitative developers, engineers, architects, risk stakeholders, and consuming systems.
• Introduce AI-assisted engineering practices, including coding agents, automated workflows, guardrails, and evaluation mechanisms.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, platform engineering, quantitative development, or energy trading technology.
• Experience owning complex technical products, platforms, or services and leading delivery in agile cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Python-based systems, preferably in quantitative, data-intensive, or business-critical environments.
• Strong analytical, prioritization, decision-making, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dagster or comparable workflow orchestration technologies.
• Background in energy, commodity, or financial trading, including derivatives valuation, pricing models, or market data.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, quantitative platforms, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development and coding agents such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex.
