SDV & AI Solutions Product Manager (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid role based in Garching, Böblingen, Bochum, Karlsbad, or Ulm, Germany; most office-based roles are onsite three days per week. Travel of up to 25% is required domestically and internationally.

What you will do

• Own use-case roadmaps for SDV market segments, defining vehicle lifecycle scenarios, required capabilities, and customer offerings.
• Conduct discovery with OEM customers and Tier 1 partners to understand workflows, pain points, and buying criteria.
• Translate use-case needs into capability requirements with the SDV Infrastructure and SDV Developer Experience pillars.
• Define success metrics covering activation, adoption, customer satisfaction, and business impact.
• Support Sales, Pre-Sales, and Product Marketing with narratives, demonstrations, and commercial packaging.
• Strengthen SDV brand positioning through clear, differentiated, customer-focused use-case stories.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with complex B2B platforms or software products.
• Experience defining end-to-end product experiences built from multiple capabilities or services.
• Understanding of automotive software, including OTA, SDV architecture, vehicle development cycles, or connected vehicle services.
• Strong customer discovery, research, interviewing, synthesis, and product prioritization skills.
• Ability to influence engineering teams and capability pillars without direct authority, with excellent customer communication and specification-writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; willingness to travel up to 25% and successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with OTA, software distribution, virtualization, or testing.
• Experience at an automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or automotive software platform company.
• Exposure to AI-enhanced product features and enterprise positioning of AI capabilities.
• Experience with platform business models, API ecosystems, or marketplace products.
