Engineering Technician (Photonics)

Location: Navanakorn, Pathum Thani, Thailand. Onsite work in engineering laboratories, production areas, and cleanroom environments; shift work and overtime may be required.

What you will do

• Support design verification, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
• Develop and validate experimental circuits, photonics applications, laser and light-transmission devices, and specialized test tools.
• Set up equipment, perform operational tests, troubleshoot faults, and support corrective actions.
• Test and check out systems using engineering drawings, schematics, layouts, and technical instructions.
• Operate and maintain oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other diagnostic and measurement equipment.
• Collect, analyze, document, and report technical data while collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams on production readiness and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High Vocational Diploma or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in electronics, electromechanical manufacturing, production support, or an engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience with equipment setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, or prototype support.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, circuit schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Ability to use diagnostic and measurement equipment and prepare technical reports.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime as required and follow safety, quality, ESD-control, and cleanroom procedures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of photonics systems, logic circuits, wire bonding, die attach, or optical components.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent-working skills.
