Senior Project Manager (Federal Government)

Location: Canberra, Brindabella Business Park, Australia; on-site work with the client may be required

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Australian Government programs.
• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate projects involving networks, firewalls, cybersecurity, end-user computing, and cloud technologies.
• Monitor progress, risks, issues, quality, safety, change management, and financial performance.
• Prepare project status reporting for senior IT stakeholders and governance boards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams and government stakeholders to achieve approved outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in a similar role.
• Proven project and program management experience in government or highly regulated environments.
• Infrastructure project delivery experience covering network, firewall, security, desktop, and cloud deployments or migrations.
• Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Australian citizenship and a minimum NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance are mandatory; all work must be performed by AGSVA-cleared personnel.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience working on site with clients.
