Production Technician III, Power Generation - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Seguin, Texas, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $20.50 per hour starting wage, plus a 10% second-shift premium.

Manufactures construction and mining equipment, engines, industrial gas turbines, diesel-electric locomotives, and power-generation systems.

What you will do

• Assemble diesel generators by aligning and securing engine components and installing gaskets, seals, wiring, hoses, covers, and visual components.
• Use schematics, part prints, and work instructions to verify component alignment and assembly accuracy.
• Perform torque audits, leak tests, visual inspections, quality audits, and defect identification.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives, escalate issues, identify root causes, and develop countermeasures with other departments.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements while providing process information to supervisors and managers.
• Train and develop new production technicians as needed.

Requirements

• At least six months of manufacturing experience or a relevant college degree.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Intermediate experience with computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with standard operating procedures or standard work, and the ability to follow safety procedures.
• Must complete background, drug, and medical screening; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• At least one year of product assembly experience.
• Experience reading complex electrical assembly instructions or assembling and repairing electrical cabinets.
• Experience with PLEX or operating forklifts, tuggers, and other powered equipment.
• Experience leading or training others.
